Marie Forleo is full of personality and is right up my alley, so much so, that meeting her was a bucket list item for me. Marie emulated what I wanted my business and personal life to look like, so I read every piece of content she put out, attended BSchool and did all I could to not only learn her content but to share it with the world…without expectation. Being genuine and deeply engaging is what will get your foot into the door with the person or company you admire and want to work with.

You have to start from a place of true and genuine appreciation, without expectation.

  • 3 Things To Get Your Foot In The Door

Finding People Who Have Achieved What You Want

It’s so important to define not only your goals, but the life you want to live and achieve. One way of doing this is to seek out people who are leading business and personal lives that you want to lead and to dig deeper into the content they provide, connect with that person, send them a LinkedIn love letter and simply be genuine.

Meeting Marie Forleo

Meeting Marie Forleo was a bucket list item and sharing her content with the world was something that came naturally. It was natural simply because her message was something I believed in and wanted others to hear. It took 2 years after meeting Marie to be asked to be a coach at her BSchool  and since then I continue to love and appreciate her message and share it without expectation.

What You Can Start Doing

Once you have found that person or company that you want to get to know on a deeper level, there three things you should start doing to get your foot in the door. Start by getting to know them and their content. Read everything they’ve written, purchase their products and dive deeper into the content they provide. Share the content with generosity but without expectation. If you genuinely love the message someone is speaking, then freely share it with others. Last, engage deeply. Go one level deeper than you currently are and the doors will start to open.

It’s time to find your people, read more articles and share more content. What will you share this week?
