Creating a podcast is literally life-changing whether you release it to the world or keep it for yourself. A podcast can build your business in ways you didn’t know existed and it can also create new, meaningful relationships. Today I am sharing with you why I started the Whiskey & Work podcast and the 3 huge benefits I’ve gotten from it. This podcast has changed my life so much, that I’m creating a small course on how to create a beautiful, impactful body of work through podcasting.
Your life is just beginning. Let’s make it the best it possibly can be.
What We’re Talking About
Deep Meaningful Conversations
Not Having to Sell
As we get older we have less and less time in our days it seems and we want to make the most of it, therefore we crave intimate conversations. As Kelly Leveque says, we need to focus on DMCs…deep meaningful conversations. Podcasts allow for that intimacy because it’s simply you talking to your people and the people who are listening really want to hear what you have to say. A podcast allows you to share tips on business, parenting and life in general. You can be as raw and real as you would with a girlfriend.
More Connection, Less Selling
I’m not someone who enjoys the art of selling and having a podcast has allowed me to grow my business without having to sell my services. People are able to listen to my podcast and if they love what they hear, they can choose to work with me. They’re able to get to know me on a whole new level which is deeper than if I was simply trying to get them to work with me.
Personal Growth, Confidence and Feeling Sexy
Recording a podcast and completing an episode is a great feeling and when we finish projects, our brain gets excited. It wants to do more of whatever it was that just happened. You feel proud of yourself. You feel confidence in who you are and you even feel sexy about yourself. A feeling of accomplishment is a sexy thing.
No matter where you are in life, it’s just the beginning.
