In front of me sat Britney's latest commercial script, next to an expense report from my trip to Buenos Aires. I shook my head in guilt, knowing I should be grateful for all the opportunities this job was affording me. But all I could think was, "Get me out of here!".
I was miserable; I had been for a while, and each day a feeling of guilt, confusion, and bitterness grew inside me.
I had started out loving my job, but somewhere along the way I had changed, and what I wanted out of life had changed too.
There was an internal force pushing me to do something different, something new and bold, but I was scared.
I was paralyzed by the fear of not knowing what was next.
Fear of being stranded on the island of "wow – you made a giant, giant mistake you can't take back."
Anyone been there?
Our intuition can be speaking to us clear as day, and we still refuse to listen to it unless we have the perfect, guaranteed, planned out next step.
Sure I'll take this leap of faith, as long as you promise it's the right leap.
Turns out we have to start listening & trusting our intuition, before we will ever see our next step.
"Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase."― Martin Luther King Jr.
It's in recognizing our intuition when it's telling us "there is more" that we truly start to step into the life we are craving.
